Delex journey started when it brought into the market a completely new and Innovative, domestic Door-to-Door Air Cargo product through a collaborative business association with the then leading airline in India. This innovation has led to the launch of a newest service in Indian market called ‘Kingfisher Xpress’. At the end of 5 years, we now have an impressive nationwide network that is directly owned and operated by Delex, complete with dedicated locations, manpower, systems, vehicles and IT systems.
Having completed the initial task of setting up an express distribution network, Delex embarked upon expanding its services in to areas like 3PL warehouse management, Dedicated specialty distribution services etc., and within a short time Delex selected by large Indian & MNC companies from Food & Beverages, FMCG, Auto Parts, Telecom and IT sectors to manage their 3PL and distribution requirements.
In August 2011, Delex started offering "Surface Parcel Delivery (SPD)" services to select set of customers, often customizing the processes for each business requirement. Currently Delex surface operates nationwide dedicated routes daily and offers delivery services through close to 54 PUDO Centers for customers from FMCG, Electronics, IT and Pharma sectors.
In March 2012 to enhance the existing Air Door to Door Network (DTD), Delex tied up with SpiceJet as their Strategic Business Partner. Under this agreement Delex has the exclusive rights to market/sell the entire cargo space available on the SpiceJet flights operating in India.
Other notable milestones include partnerships with UPS leading American Supply chain and logistics company, Major Air Distribution services provided to Global Logistics giant DHL and getting selected as Last Mile Delivery (LMD) partner by Hewlett Packard (HP) India for their spare parts deliveries across all major cities/towns of India.
Delex also provides Forward Stocking locations across various stations of its nationwide network for storing spare parts / small packages and to execute LMD distribution services for various large MNC and Indian customers handling ATM machine parts, building materials, IT peripherals, medical diagnostic machine parts (including airconditioned storage), IT hardware parts etc.,
In Sep 2011, with the inauguration of the flagship “Customer Care Centre” at Mumbai for M/s Infinity Retail Limited (a TATA Group Company)’s Delex has entered in to Technical Logistics Services (TLS) providing after sales services such as installation, demo, in-warranty & out-of-warranty repairs etc., for Consumer Electronics, Large appliances, IT products, Telecom & other digital products. Delex currently has more than 350 engineers across 12 major cities in India who are capable of handling installation of any electronics product besides handling component level diagnosis and repairs.
